Fabricator-welder — Santa Clara County

Now hiring: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Santa Clara County, California. On the job you will handle: • Read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters • Back-purge stainless pipe to stop root oxidation (sugaring) • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Clean the base metal with a stainless brush and acetone before welding • Feed the filler rod by hand while controlling the weld puddle • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to read isometric and fabrication drawings Full-time, day shift.
