Join our team: we are hiring a sample machinist in Chenango County, New York. You will work at a knitwear stitching unit. Day to day you will sew bartacks and buttonholes and attach buttons where required; attach collars, cuffs, plackets, pockets and waistbands as per the spec sheet; meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality; match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching; change needles, presser feet and folders to suit the fabric and operation; topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish. Requirements: • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines Full-time with occasional weekends.
