Great opportunity: we are hiring a brick and block layer in Thurston County, Washington. Requirements: • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) On a typical shift you will spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; setting out walls from the drawings and marking the brick gauge.
