Immediate opening: press operator (England)

Now hiring: we are hiring a press operator in Nottinghamshire, England. You will work on the press shop floor. Ideal candidate: • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • 1-2 years' experience on power or hydraulic presses • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges On a typical shift you will punch, blank, pierce, bend and form sheet metal components; check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges; top up the press hydraulic oil and grease the slide ways; clear scrap and offcuts from the die area; operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses; set up and change stamping dies and tooling. At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Six days a week, one day off. Walk-in interviews this week.
