Gas service engineer — Washington County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a gas service engineer in Washington County, Illinois. You should have: • Competent in pipe threading, brazing and PE electrofusion • Own hand tools and pipe wrenches The role involves: • Carry out tightness (pressure) tests with a manometer and lock off the supply • Connect combi boilers, water heaters and gas cookers to the supply • Purge air from the lines and commission appliances to the correct gas rate • Lay and route steel and copper gas pipe runs to the appliance points • Fix pipe clips, brackets and wall sleeves and sleeve pipe through walls • Install flue and chimney terminals and check for adequate ventilation Full-time with occasional weekends.
