Escalator technician wanted in Wayne County

Vacancy available: we are hiring an escalator technician in Wayne County, Illinois. You will work at a shopping mall with escalators and lifts. The role involves set and test the overspeed governor and safety gear; replace worn sheaves, rollers, contactors and relays; respond to entrapment call-outs and release trapped passengers; fault-find control circuits with a multimeter and test instruments; adjust door operator timing and re-levelling accuracy. Requirements: • ITI in electrical/mechanical or an equivalent trade certificate • Sound electrical competence in three-phase and low-voltage wiring • Ability to read electrical and wiring schematics Six days a week, one day off. $17 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
