Sewing machine operator wanted in Kent County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a sewing machine operator in Kent County, Michigan. The job is at a knitwear stitching unit. What we are looking for: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens On the job you will handle: • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Thread the machine, wind bobbins and balance top and bottom tension • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line At least 6 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. Pay around $4,800 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
