Immediate opening: we are hiring a presser in Clay County, Iowa. What we are looking for: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment • Able to keep pace with line speed and piece targets The role involves: • Meet the daily piece target without damaging garments • Give each garment a final press before packing • Spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts • Press open seams, darts and pleats during stitching • Sort bundles by fabric, shade and order number • Set the iron temperature to suit cotton, silk, wool and synthetic fabrics Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
