Urgent requirement: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Nguru, Yobe State. On the job you will handle: • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Inspect welds for porosity, undercut and lack of fusion • Control heat input so thin sheet does not warp • Set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job Requirements: • Sound knowledge of shielding gases and tungsten selection • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
