Production welder — Humboldt County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a production welder in Humboldt County, Iowa. You will work at a pipe and tank fabrication yard. Ideal candidate: • 2+ years on MIG/MAG (GMAW) welding • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Day-to-day duties: • Grind back and re-weld any defective runs • Clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead • Check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration • Maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose • Set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator • Control distortion with a balanced welding sequence 6+ years on the tools preferred. Six days a week, one day off. $4,200 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
