Metal caster — Elmore County

Vacancy available: we are hiring a metal caster in Elmore County, Idaho. The role involves: • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects • Melt scrap metal and ingots in induction or cupola furnaces Ideal candidate: • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Basic grinding and fettling skills A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew.
