Great opportunity: we are hiring a fettler in North Slope Borough, Alaska. The job is at a brass and bronze foundry. Ideal candidate: • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry The role involves: • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Cut off risers, runners and gates with a grinder or torch Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Walk-in interviews this week.
