Great opportunity: we are hiring a hand presser in Leon County, Texas. You should have: • Able to operate a steam press, vacuum table and fusing machine • A keen eye for scorch, shine and uneven creases • Comfortable standing long shifts in a hot, humid environment You will shape collars, cuffs and lapels using a tailor's ham and sleeve board; hang or fold pressed garments and pass them to packing; spray water or starch to set sharp creases on trousers and shirts; keep the boiler topped up and hold steady steam pressure; clean and descale the iron soleplate and steam vents; remove creases, wrinkles and packing folds with a steam iron. 2+ years on the tools preferred. $22 per hour, negotiable for the right hands.
