Now hiring: we are hiring a power float operator in Lincoln County, Mississippi. You should have: • Comfortable working at heights and on scaffolds • Sound knowledge of concrete grades, slump and curing periods The role involves lay PCC blinding and the damp-proof membrane over the prepared subgrade; load, hoist and barrow concrete to the upper floors; compact fresh concrete with immersion poker vibrators to clear honeycombing; cut control and expansion joints at the correct spacing; carry out slump tests and cast cubes for the lab; strip and clean formwork once the concrete has gained strength. 4+ years on the tools preferred.
