Machine operator (earthworks) • Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machine operator (earthworks) in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State. You will be based at a drainage and utilities contractor. Your main tasks: • Strip and stockpile topsoil ready for reuse • Dig and trim drainage channels and attenuation ponds • Lift and place pipes, manholes and precast sections with the bucket and chains • Clear sites, demolish structures and load out muck and rubble • Carry out daily greasing and check hydraulic oil, coolant and fuel levels • Work to laser, GPS or 2D/3D machine-control guidance Requirements: • Proven experience on 360 tracked excavators (8t–30t) • Own PPE — safety boots, hi-vis and hard hat • Comfortable with GPS or laser machine control Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
