Vacancy available: VMC operator (Ohio)

Vacancy available: we are hiring a VMC operator in Erie County, Ohio. You will be based at a precision engineering workshop. On a typical shift you will select and fit end mills, face mills and slot drills into collets and arbors; set up and operate vertical and horizontal milling machines; apply cutting coolant and clear swarf from the machine bed; set tool offsets and the work zero (G54) using an edge finder or probe; measure features with vernier callipers, micrometers and bore gauges; machine slots, pockets, flats, keyways and contours to drawing. Requirements: • Knows feeds, speeds and tooling for steel, aluminium and cast iron • Physically fit to stand and lift workpieces Six days a week, one day off. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Pay around $25 per hour, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
