Bricklayer — Crittenden County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bricklayer in Crittenden County, Kentucky. You will work on a new-build development. You should have: • Sound knowledge of mortar mixes and bonds (stretcher, English, Flemish) • Comfortable working at height on scaffolding • NVQ Level 2 in Bricklaying an advantage The role involves mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser; checking every course for height and level with a gauge rod; forming arches, piers and reveals around openings; brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go; spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel; cutting bricks to size with a bolster and club hammer or angle grinder. Rotating shifts. Meals and transport allowance provided. $2,900 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
