Commercial refrigeration engineer — Jefferson County

Now hiring: we are hiring a commercial refrigeration engineer in Jefferson County, Nebraska. You will be based in an HVAC service company. The role involves: • Replace compressors, filter driers and expansion valves • Charge systems with refrigerant (R134a, R410a, R404a) to the correct weight • Recover refrigerant gas before opening a sealed system • Read suction and discharge pressures on the manifold gauges • Braze copper pipework and joints with an oxy-acetylene torch • Service split AC units and VRF systems Requirements: • ITI or diploma in refrigeration / RAC trade • Physically fit to lift compressors and carry ladders • Able to read wiring diagrams and pressure-temperature charts Rotating shifts.
