Gang bricklayer — Burke County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a gang bricklayer in Burke County, North Dakota. The job is at a renovation and extension job. Day-to-day duties: • Spreading and furrowing mortar beds with the trowel • Building the corners (leads) first and racking back the courses • Mixing mortar to the right consistency with sand, cement and plasticiser • Installing damp-proof courses, lintels and cavity trays • Brushing the wall down and removing mortar snots as you go • Pointing and repointing weathered mortar joints Requirements: • Able to lay to line, level and plumb consistently • Proven experience laying facing and engineering bricks • Able to read construction drawings and setting-out marks $4,700 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
