Now hiring: we are hiring a deboner in Crockett County, Tennessee. The job is in a supermarket meat department. On a typical shift you will stuff and link fresh sausages with casings; keep HACCP hygiene records and sanitise the block and tools; monitor chiller and freezer temperatures to keep the cold chain; trim fat, sinew and silver skin off the cuts; keep halal cuts separated and clearly handled. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working in cold rooms and chillers • Able to identify primal cuts of beef, mutton and poultry • Confident knife skills and safe blade handling Freshers welcome — about 3 years of practice is enough.
