Groundskeeper — Coles County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a groundskeeper in Coles County, Illinois. You will mow and edge lawns with petrol and ride-on mowers; maintain compost heaps and the potting shed; spray pesticides and fungicides to control pests and disease; prune hedges, shrubs and ornamental trees with secateurs and hedge trimmers; lay turf and oversow bare patches of lawn; plant seasonal bedding plants, bulbs and saplings. Requirements: • Good knowledge of common plants, shrubs and seasonal planting • Understanding of pruning and watering schedules • Valid driving licence for travel between sites Six days a week, one day off. Performance bonus on top of base pay. $2,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
