Ideal candidate: • Able to read roof pitch and set the falls • Own hand tools (hammer, nail gun, slate ripper) • Confident working at height on ladders and scaffolds Your main tasks: • Seal joints and penetrations with mastic and lead flashing • Strip old shingles and felt back down to the deck • Install metal flashing around chimneys and skylights • Insulate and ventilate the roof void • Fit valley gutters, fascias and soffits • Hang box gutters and downpipes for rainwater Freshers welcome — about 2 years of practice is enough.
