Join our team: we are hiring a core maker in Pulaski County, Georgia. Day to day you will fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring; tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle; inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects. Requirements: • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Experience working in a ferrous or non-ferrous foundry Full-time with occasional weekends.
