GMAW welder — Boyd County

Now hiring: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Boyd County, Kentucky. You will be based in a heavy engineering unit. Day to day you will read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; grind back and re-weld any defective runs; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. What we are looking for: • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Able to grind, fit-up and tack independently Meals and transport allowance provided.
