Now hiring: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Cook County, Illinois. Your main tasks: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool • Clamp and fit up components on the jig before welding Requirements: • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough. Six days a week, one day off. Overtime paid at a premium rate. $2,600 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Contact us to fix an interview.
