Fabricator-welder — Meade County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a fabricator-welder in Meade County, Kentucky. You will be based in a food and dairy equipment factory. Day-to-day duties: • Select the tungsten type and gas cup size to suit the job • Grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper • Prep and fit up the joint, then lay tack welds before the full run • Set the amperage on the machine and modulate the current with the foot pedal • Weld stainless steel, aluminium and mild steel in thin gauges • Weld in flat, horizontal, vertical and overhead positions Requirements: • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Proven experience with TIG/GTAW on stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a practical weld test on the first day Six days a week, one day off.
