Immediate opening: we are hiring a press setter operator in Caldwell County, Texas. The job is on the press shop floor. Requirements: • Can use vernier calipers, micrometers and go/no-go gauges • Attention to detail and steady hands for accurate loading • Knowledge of press safety, guarding and lockout-tagout The role involves: • Record output and downtime on the production sheet • Watch for cracks, burrs, wrinkles and double-hits on parts • Check stamped parts against drawings using vernier calipers and gauges • Carry out first-off inspection and report rejects to the supervisor • Fit and check guards, light curtains and safety interlocks before starting • Operate mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic power presses 3+ years on the tools preferred. $4,800 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
