Site carpenter — Jefferson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a site carpenter in Jefferson County, Alabama. You will be based on a busy construction site. On the job you will handle: • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Finish surfaces with varnish, wax, lacquer or wood stain • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles • Cut sheet material and timber with a circular saw, jigsaw and table saw • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Apply edge banding, veneers and laminate to board You should have: • Able to read technical drawings and cutting lists • Accurate to fine tolerances on finish work At least 1 year(s) in a similar role.
