Great opportunity: we are hiring an argon welder in Jackson County, Arkansas. You will work at a busy sheet-metal workshop. The role involves read the WPS and weld to the specified parameters; strike and hold a stable arc with a non-consumable tungsten electrode; control heat input so thin sheet does not warp; grind and sharpen tungsten electrodes to the correct taper; set up the argon shielding gas and check the flow rate at the regulator; run root passes and fill passes on pipe joints. Requirements: • Comfortable working to tight fit-up tolerances • Able to weld thin-gauge sheet without burn-through • Physically fit to work in confined spaces and at height Full-time with occasional weekends.
