Immediate opening: we are hiring an argon arc welder in Live Oak County, Texas. The job is on a structural steel site. Your main tasks: • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Run butt, fillet, lap and corner joints to spec • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Set the argon flow on the flowmeter and check the hose for leaks • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal Ideal candidate: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces 3+ years on the tools preferred.
