Container truck driver — Ashe County

We are recruiting: we are hiring a container truck driver in Ashe County, North Carolina. You will be based on long-haul routes across the country. Day-to-day duties: • Report defects and book the unit in for servicing • Check tyre pressures, engine oil, coolant and brake fluid levels • Keep a safe following distance, adjusting for weather and load • Log working hours on the tachograph and swap driver cards • Reverse and carry out blind-side manoeuvres at loading bays Requirements: • Minimum 2 years' long-haul experience • Valid HGV/LGV Class 1 (C+E) licence • Good knowledge of driving-hours and tachograph rules Freshers welcome — about 5 years of practice is enough.
