Join our team: we are hiring a sheet metal welder in Franklin County, Washington. You will be based at a pipe-fitting and pressure-vessel shop. On the job you will handle: • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Read welding symbols and joint details off the fabrication drawing • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish Requirements: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Steady hand and good hand-eye coordination At least 6 year(s) in a similar role.
