Machinist — Peterborough

We are recruiting: we are hiring a machinist in Peterborough, England. You will be based at a knitwear stitching unit. On the job you will handle: • Stitch seams, hems, side seams and shoulder joins to the marked seam allowance • Match notches and ply, lining up checks and stripes before stitching • Keep an even stitch density (SPI) and a straight, consistent seam line • Meet the hourly piece-rate target without dropping quality You should have: • Good eyesight and steady hands for fine, accurate stitching • Hands-on with single needle, overlock and flatlock machines • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens We offer £2,550 per month plus benefits.
