Groundworker — Gove County

Now hiring: we are hiring a groundworker in Gove County, Kansas. The job is on a commercial building project. Requirements: • Basic knowledge of hand tools like shovel, trowel and breaker • Wear safety helmet, boots and gloves at all times Your main tasks: • Backfill and ram down soil around the foundations • Break out old walls and concrete with a jackhammer breaker • Cure freshly laid concrete by sprinkling water for several days • Wheel barrows of rubble to the skip and keep the site clean • Hand tools and materials up to workers on the upper floors • Pour and spread concrete, then compact it with a poker vibrator At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Overtime paid at a premium rate. Full-time with occasional weekends. Walk-in interviews this week.
