Bench joiner — Marion County

Now hiring: we are hiring a bench joiner in Marion County, Illinois. You will be based at a shopfitting company. Day-to-day duties: • Cut mortise-and-tenon and dovetail joints with chisels and a mallet • Glue, clamp, screw and dowel joints together • Install skirting boards, architraves and dado rails • Measure and mark out timber using a tape, square and marking gauge • Hang internal and external doors, fitting hinges, locks and handles What we are looking for: • Own basic hand tools • Confident with hand and power tools such as saws, routers and planers Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
