Now hiring: we are hiring an oven operator in Maui County, Hawaii. You will be based in a hotel pastry kitchen. The role involves load and unload the deck oven with a peel; boil sugar syrup for glazes and icing; proof and fry doughnuts, then glaze them; score the top of loaves before baking; pipe and fill cakes, pastries and cream rolls; rotate stock and follow FIFO on raw materials. Requirements: • Able to stand for long hours in a hot kitchen • Able to lift 25 kg flour sacks • Basic cake decorating and piping skills Pay around $5,400 per month, based on your experience.
