Immediate opening: we are hiring a sand plant operator in Hamilton County, Kansas. The role involves: • Apply mould coatings and dress the mould cavity • Carry out shakeout and knock the castings out of the sand • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Inspect castings for cold shuts, blowholes and shrinkage defects Requirements: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Knowledge of green-sand and resin-bonded moulding 1+ years on the tools preferred. Full-time, day shift. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. $4,300 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
