Maintenance electrician — Jackson County

Great opportunity: we are hiring a maintenance electrician in Jackson County, Illinois. You will be based in a power distribution substation. Your main tasks: • Test insulation resistance with a megger • Carry out preventive maintenance on switchgear and busbars • Pull and terminate cables in conduit and cable trays • Measure voltage, current and load with a multimeter and clamp meter • Replace faulty switches, sockets and light fittings Ideal candidate: • Normal colour vision for cable identification • Familiar with megger, multimeter and clamp meter • ITI in electrical trade or wireman certificate Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. $220 per day, negotiable for the right hands. On-the-job training and a clear path to grow. Full-time, day shift. Walk-in interviews this week.
