Argon welding operator — Rains County

We are recruiting: we are hiring an argon welding operator in Rains County, Texas. You will be based at a busy fabrication workshop. You should have: • Sound knowledge of argon gas settings and tungsten selection • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols On the job you will handle: • Weld thin stainless steel sheet without burning through • Tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run • TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer • Sharpen tungsten electrodes and fit the correct gas cup size • Strike the arc with high-frequency start and control heat with the foot pedal • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent $4,000 per month, negotiable for the right hands.
