TIG welder — Jefferson County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a TIG welder in Jefferson County, Kentucky. The job is at a busy fabrication workshop. On the job you will handle: • Inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut • Grind, blend and polish finished welds to a clean finish • Back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise • Clean joints with acetone and a dedicated stainless wire brush • Keep the arc length and travel speed consistent Requirements: • Able to pass a weld test on the spot • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols • Good eyesight for fine sheet-metal work At least 3 year(s) in a similar role.
