System formwork carpenter — Mitchell County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a system formwork carpenter in Mitchell County, Iowa. You will work on a bridge and flyover project. What we are looking for: • Sound understanding of props, bracing and load-bearing • Skilled with circular saw, hand tools and spirit level • Confident working at height on scaffold and decking You will cut and assemble plywood and timber panels for columns, beams and slabs; set up adjustable steel props and falsework to support the slab decking; strike and strip the formwork once the concrete has cured; apply mould-release oil to the plywood faces before concreting; seal panel joints and hold the correct concrete cover to prevent grout loss; check alignment with spirit level, plumb bob and string line. Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. We offer $4,000 per month plus benefits. A stable, long-term role with a friendly crew. Six days a week, one day off.
