The role involves: • Follow loading sequence so first-drop parcels stay within reach • Report accidents, breakdowns and vehicle damage to the supervisor • Carry out daily pre-trip checks on tyres, engine oil, coolant, brakes and lights • Park and reverse safely in tight loading bays and narrow lanes • Keep fuel receipts and update the daily trip sheet • Load and unload parcels and secure the load with straps and ropes Requirements: • Valid Class B / LMV driving licence • Physically fit to load and unload goods by hand • Polite and presentable for customer-facing deliveries Freshers welcome — about 6 years of practice is enough.
