Immediate opening: we are hiring a production welder in Falls County, Texas. The job is at a steel fabrication workshop. Requirements: • Comfortable welding mild steel, stainless and aluminium • Able to pass a 3G/4G plate test • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety The role involves set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; strike and hold a stable short-circuit or spray-transfer arc; set the shielding-gas flow on the CO2/argon-mix regulator; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing. 6+ years on the tools preferred.
