Immediate opening: we are hiring a moulder in Aberdeen City, Scotland. You will work in a non-ferrous casting shop. Day to day you will prepare green-sand moulds and ram the sand into the moulding boxes; shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale; check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring; maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings. You should have: • Basic grinding and fettling skills • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal 4+ years on the tools preferred.
