Structural MIG welder — Garrett County

Immediate opening: we are hiring a structural MIG welder in Garrett County, Maryland. You will work on a structural steel site. On a typical shift you will set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; maintain the torch liner, earth clamp and gas hose; control distortion with a balanced welding sequence; check welds for porosity, undercut and lack of penetration; lay stringer and weave beads on fillet and butt joints. Ideal candidate: • Able to read weld symbols and fabrication drawings • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes At least 1 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift.
