GTAW welder — Nsit Ibom

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GTAW welder in Nsit Ibom, Akwa Ibom State. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. Day to day you will keep the arc length and travel speed consistent; back-purge pipe joints with argon so the root does not oxidise; feed filler rod by hand while holding a steady weld pool; tack weld parts to hold the fit-up before the final run; inspect welds visually for porosity, cracks and undercut; TIG weld aluminium sections after cleaning off the oxide layer. Requirements: • ITI or trade certificate in welding an advantage • Comfortable working off scaffolds and in tight spaces • Can read fabrication drawings and welding symbols 6+ years on the tools preferred.
