Great opportunity: we are hiring a core maker in Jefferson County, Kansas. The role involves: • Operate the sand muller and the reclamation plant • Fettle and grind castings to remove flash and rough edges • Skim slag and dross off the melt before tapping and pouring • Maintain crucibles, ladles and furnace linings • Pour molten metal into the moulds using hand or crane ladles • Tap the furnace and transfer the metal to the ladle You should have: • Physically fit to lift heavy moulding boxes and castings • Understanding of safe slinging and crane-ladle signalling At least 4 year(s) in a similar role. Full-time, day shift. Pay around $5,500 per month, based on your experience. Walk-in interviews this week.
