Vacancy available: we are hiring a die-casting operator in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. The job is on the moulding line. What we are looking for: • Comfortable working close to furnaces and molten metal • Able to read simple casting drawings and job cards • Keen eye for casting defects during inspection The role involves: • Make and bake sand cores for the internal cavities • Check melt temperature with a pyrometer before pouring • Mix and recondition moulding sand to the right moisture • Shot-blast castings to clean off burnt sand and scale Rotating shifts.
