GMAW welder • Page County, Virginia

We are recruiting: we are hiring a GMAW welder in Page County, Virginia. You will work in a sheet-metal fabrication unit. On a typical shift you will clear spatter and slag, then wire-brush the finished bead; set the wire feed speed and voltage to suit the plate thickness; read fabrication drawings and weld symbols; change worn contact tips and gas nozzles on the torch; tack components to the jig and check the fit-up against the drawing; weld in flat, horizontal and vertical-up positions. What we are looking for: • Aware of PPE, fume extraction and hot-work safety • Knowledge of short-circuit and spray-transfer modes Freshers welcome — about 4 years of practice is enough. Rotating shifts. $4,400 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
