Tailor machinist — Chickasaw County

Urgent requirement: we are hiring a tailor machinist in Chickasaw County, Mississippi. You will work in a sampling and tailoring workshop. Day-to-day duties: • Set armholes and sleeves, easing the cap so there are no puckers • Clear thread jams, re-time the looper and oil the machine before the shift • Topstitch and edge-stitch with the correct margin for a clean finish • Operate single-needle lockstitch, overlock and flatlock machines on a production line Requirements: • Understands fabric types and how to handle knits versus wovens • 2+ years on industrial sewing machines in a garment factory • Quality-conscious with an eye for puckers, skipped stitches and uneven seams At least 5 year(s) in a similar role. Rotating shifts. $3,100 per month, negotiable for the right hands. Walk-in interviews this week.
